Edward K. Griesmer

Ed Griesmer joined MultiState in 1999 as a vice president, bringing to the firm a strong track record in the state legislative and regulatory tracking marketplace. Ed has developed customized issue management solutions for clients' state government affairs programs for the past 18 years. Along the way, he became a principal of the firm with expanded responsibilities, and his deep knowledge and expertise have made MultiState the industry leader. Prior to MultiState, Ed spent four years in senior marketing positions with two state legislative and regulatory tracking companies. As MultiState’s president, Ed is responsible for overall day-to-day management of the company’s Alexandria headquarters, including business development, marketing, customer satisfaction and quality assurance, as well as overseeing MultiState’s issues management platform, research and technology. He also works directly with numerous clients on all of the company’s service lines including lobbying engagements nationwide. Additionally, he serves on the board of the Public Affairs Council and is an active member of the State Government Affairs Council. Ed is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he played soccer, and resides in Arlington, Virginia with wife Suzanne, and children Nell and Aaron.
