Prior to joining MultiState, Marcie was executive director of the State Government Affairs Council (SGAC), the preeminent organization of corporations and trade associations involved in state government relations, as well as its Foundation, where she helped develop continuing education programs for experienced state government relations professionals. SGAC and SGERF were clients of a national association management company that Marcie was a partner at for 17 years. She was also executive vice president of an international culinary association and staff vice president of a national association of state financial institution regulators.
Marcie is a past chair of the American Society of Association Executives' (ASAE) Government Relations Section Council and has served on the ASAE Board of Directors and Public Policy Committee. She also served for five years as a founding member of the Board of the Center for Ethics in Government under the National Conference of State Legislatures' Foundation.
Marcie earned the designation of Certified Association Executive ASAE in 1982. She is a graduate of Villanova University and received a master's degree from Georgetown University.
