Lauren Calhoun

Lauren Calhoun joined MultiState in 2022 as a Compliance Intern and currently serves as a Compliance Associate. She also supports the Issue Management team, helping to track issues across local jurisdictions.

Lauren holds a Master’s in Environmental Resource Policy from The George Washington University, where she concentrated on water quality policy, with a focus on PFAS advocacy and legislation. For her capstone project, she designed and executed a policy analysis for Anacostia Riverkeepers to identify potential policies aimed at mitigating and reducing plastic water bottle pollution in the Anacostia River. During her time at GWU, Lauren was inducted into Phi Alpha Alpha, the national honor society for public administration students, in recognition of her academic excellence. Additionally, Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Conservation from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where she was actively involved in leading both the campus Apiary Club and the German Culture Club.

Lauren currently resides in her home state of North Carolina. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, baking, and playing the euphonium in a local concert band.
