Sarah graduated from the University of Florida with a master's degree in political science, focusing on political campaigning. During her time at the University of Florida she gained experience working for a state legislator and seeing the state legislative process in action. When Sarah relocated to the DC area in 2006, becoming a policy analyst at MultiState Associates was the perfect opportunity to utilize the analytical thinking and research skills she developed in graduate school and to focus on state government relations. In 2009, she moved to the federal government to work as a program analyst for the Small Business Administration Office of Inspector General. During her time at the SBA OIG, Sarah worked to identify fraud, waste, and abuse in SBA's loan programs. Sarah is now a Senior Policy Analyst for MultiState Associates, having re-joined the firm full time in 2019. In addition to finding and monitoring important legislation for her clients and working on ad hoc research projects, Sarah has been instrumental in tracking state mask mandates for MultiState's COVID-19 State and Local Policy Tracker.
